The front side of an E6B is a calculator. In fact, if can be used to do simple math. However, for flying it is usually used for a handful of specific calculations including flight time and fuel burn. The E-6B is often an intimidating part of cross country flying, but it just requires practice. Use the questions below to practice using the E-6B and do more on your own until you feel comfortable using the front of the E-6B.
