This topic briefly sums up what we’ve learned about Airworthiness in the last five topics. We must memorize the required documents, inspections and inspection time frames, required equipment, and procedures for dealing with inoperative equipment. This video summarizes this procedure as we would apply it in the real world.

There are many factors that must be considered in determining the legality of a flight. Please use the following handout to develop a mental model for answering the question “Are we legal to fly?” If you can make this a habit, and quickly and accurately list the various acronyms and their components you’ll be well ahead of the pack. Remember, this is something almost guaranteed to be on your checkride, and it’s easy money.
