Airplane-Specific Ground School
Know Your Seminole
The Seminole, explained the way your favorite instructor would teach it — with the context the POH leaves out.
Built for the Seminole Pilot
This course prepares pilots to:
- Prepare for a checkout in the Piper Seminole.
- Add multi-engine privileges to their certificate in the Seminole, in conjunction with our Multi-Engine Course.
- Periodically refresh themselves on the Seminole.
The Seminole is the most common multi-engine trainer in the country, which means CFIs working toward an MEI and pilots transitioning into one at work or in a rental fleet will find this course useful as well. The content is specific to operating the airplane — systems, performance, single-engine aerodynamics, and procedures — and assumes a knowledge base appropriate to your level of certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How does this compare to other Seminole resources?
We teach the why, not just the what. Most Seminole resources hand you flows and limitations to memorize. This course is built so you understand the airplane well enough to explain it to someone else.
-
Does this cover everything I need for my multi-engine rating?
Not on its own. This course is airplane-specific. The general multi-engine knowledge for the rating (Vmc theory, critical engine, single-engine aerodynamics, the ACS) lives in our Multi-Engine Course. We sell the two together as a bundle. Together they handle the ground school; your CFI handles the flying.
-
Can’t I just study the POH?
You can, and you should. But the POH only tells you the “what” without explaining the “why” or “how”. This course walks you through the airplane the way an instructor would.
-
Does this cover the analog Seminole or the G1000 Seminole?
Both. This course is about the airplane, not the avionics. The airframe, engines, fuel, electrical, gear, and aerodynamics are common to every PA-44 variant, and that’s what we focus on. For the panel itself — analog gauges or the G1000 — you’ll want training that’s specific to your avionics setup.
-
How long does it take to finish?
Most students finish in four to eight hours. You have lifetime access, so go at your own pace.
-
Is there a refund policy?
Yes. One-week money-back guarantee. If the course isn’t for you, cancel and receive a full refund.
