Knowledge Test (PRH) Preparation1 Lesson|2 Quizzes
PRH Knowledge Test Practice #1
This written test is designed to prepare you to take the FAA Private Pilot Helicopter Knowledge Test (PRH). Like the real test, it has 60 question and a 2 hour time limit. While the real test requires a 70% score to pass, this practice test requires a 90% score. However, you may retake it as many times as necessary to achieve that score.
Before you begin the test, you should have with you:
- An E-6B
- A pencil or pen
- Scratch paper.
Lastly, here are some considerations while preparing for your FAA written test:
- When you get questions wrong, study those general subject areas more.
- If you are strong in weight and balance calculations, E-6B calculations, and regulations you give yourself an immense advantage. Most applicants are weak in those areas because they require dedicated study and aren’t learned well through “osmosis”.
- If you simply retake the test over and over again until you’ve learned all the questions, you will not perform well on the real thing. It’s very important that you study your weak areas instead of ignoring them.
Good luck!
