Welcome to Flight Apprentice. We’re happy to have you here! As an online ground school training company, we have to express some legalese to our users. If you haven’t yet discovered in our course content, we are not the biggest fan of confusing, long-winded, butt-covering language. Unfortunately, a degree of that is required here. We’ll try to keep it short.
In the following Terms of Use, Flight Apprentice, LLC (Flight Apprentice) is sometimes referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”. All products from Flight Apprentice are subject to these Terms of Use.
These Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms of Use” or “Terms”) constitute an agreement between Flight Apprentice and you.By using any of Flight Apprentice’s content or services, you affirm that you are able and legally competent to, and agree to, comply with these Terms of Use. You agree not to interfere with or interrupt, or attempt to interfere with or interrupt the operation of Flight Apprentice in any way. We may modify these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy at any time, and you are bound by any such modification. Your continued use of our products and services constitutes your agreement to the modification.
You must be at least age 13 to use Flight Apprentice products and services.To comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, we will never knowingly or intentionally collect any personal information about children under the age of 13. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected personal information about a child under the age of 13, we will immediately delete that information. Because we do not knowingly or intentionally collect such information, to the best of our knowledge and belief, we have no such information to use or to disclose to a third party. If you are a parent or guardian that provides consent to your children to use this site, then you are bound by these terms as it relates to their use of the site.
You agree not to impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity, including using another person’s username, password or other account information, or another person’s name, likeness, voice, image or photograph. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and you shall not allow friends, family, business associates or other persons access to, or to use your username or password. You can review, modify, or delete personal information you have provided us with your Account. Flight Apprentice shall not be responsible in the event that your password is misappropriated by a third party. You also agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your username, password, other account information, or any other breach of security that you become aware of involving or relating to Flight Apprentice. Your account may also be restricted or terminated for any reason, at our sole discretion.
When you place an order with us you will need to provide address and other information to identify you including your email address. At that time you are also agreeing to receive promotional email messages from us and are certifying that you are 18 years of age or older. When you subsequently receive solicitation emails they will each offer an “unsubscribe” link to use if you wish to not receive further email messages.
We periodically schedule system downtime for maintenance and other purposes. Unplanned system outages also may occur. You agree that Flight Apprentice has no responsibility and is not liable for: (a) the unavailability of any website content; (b) any loss of data, information or materials caused by such system outages; (c) the resultant delay, mis-delivery or non-delivery of data, information or materials caused by such system outages; or (d) any outages caused by any third parties, including without limitation any companies or servers hosting our site, any Internet service providers, or otherwise.
The content contained on Flight Apprentice’s website such as text, graphics, images, audio, video and other material, as well as the domain names, tagline, organization and user look-and-feel (collectively, the “Content”), is protected by copyright, trademark and other such laws in the United States and foreign countries, and is owned or controlled by Flight Apprentice and/or its affiliates or by third parties that have licensed their content to us. Unauthorized use of the Content may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not sell or modify the Content or reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise use the Content in any way for any public or commercial purpose without the prior written permission of Flight Apprentice, and you may not use the Content in a manner that suggests an association with any of Flight Apprentice’s products, services or brands.
Users of Flight Apprentice’s app (“App”) as well as and including any streamed and aviation education course materials are subject to these additional terms (“App Terms”) and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Apps are provided solely for personal, noncommercial use. By signing up for an App you acknowledge and agree to the App’s Terms. You may not display any portion thereof. Unless explicitly authorized, you may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, translate, sell, create derivative works, exploit, or distribute in any manner or medium (including by email or other electronic means) any material from the Apps.
Our goal is to collect the least amount of personal data necessary to provide a great user experience. We do not sell your personal information, or share it except to the extent necessary to comply with the law, develop products, or protect our rights.

User sign up — when a user creates an account through our website, they submit their first name, last name, username, and email address. User names and email addresses are used to enhance their user experience. First name and last name are used to enhance the user experience, in particular our ability to issue endorsements for FAA Knowledge Tests.
Like most website operators, Flight Apprentice LLC collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, IP address, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.
When we collect and process personal information, and while we retain this information, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
